Why I write

EmilyBlog6 Comments

I want my girls to know the beauty of honest, unfiltered words about real life. I want them to understand that there is no such thing as perfect parenting but there is so much joy to be found in the growth you experience as a parent and the honor of knowing such a deep and organic love. I want my daughters to understand that nothing in life is fair and the best things rarely come with ease, but life always holds a silver lining if you are willing to look for it and with each struggle an opportunity to learn and grow. I want them to know the importance of a healthy life and that there mother was far from perfect… but that anyone at any time can take control of their life and health if they have the will to do so. I want them to have record of some of the moments that forever molded their mother into the person she is, the person who they know as mom.

  2. Beautiful!
I was wondering if I could include some of your words in a book I’m working on where real people who write share about writing. It’s to inspire people to write. It’s very visual with pictures of writing spaces and tools. So far 100 people are part of it and I’d love to include you.
Your name, age and location will be included and all credit goes to you.
All good if you want to decline, just thought I’d check.
    Kind regards, JD

      1. Thank-you so much. I’m so glad to include you. These are the words I’d like to include (they fit the rest of the book and the target audience):

If that’s okay, all I need is your name, age and location.

Thanks so much for your help.
